Bacon Cheeseburger Casserole (Print)

A savory ground beef bake with cream cheese, cheddar, bacon and burger flavors that satisfies without the carbs.

# Ingredients:

→ Beef Layer

01 - 450 g ground beef
02 - 1 small onion, finely chopped
03 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
04 - 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
05 - Salt to taste
06 - Black pepper to taste

→ Sauce

07 - 115 g cream cheese
08 - 120 ml heavy cream
09 - 60 g shredded cheddar cheese
10 - 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
11 - 1 tablespoon sugar free ketchup
12 - 2 large eggs

→ Toppings

13 - 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
14 - 60 g shredded mozzarella cheese
15 - 60 g shredded cheddar cheese
16 - Chopped pickles for garnish
17 - Sliced green onions or chopped parsley for garnish

# Directions:

01 - Preheat oven to 175°C. Lightly grease a 20 x 20 cm baking dish.
02 - Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat with onion and garlic until meat is no longer pink. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Drain excess fat if needed.
03 - Spread the beef mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
04 - In a bowl, whisk together cream cheese, heavy cream, mustard, sugar free ketchup, eggs, and shredded cheddar until smooth.
05 - Evenly pour the cheese mixture over the beef layer in the dish.
06 - Sprinkle crumbled bacon, mozzarella, and additional cheddar across the surface. Garnish with pickles and herbs if desired.
07 - Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes until golden and bubbling. Allow to rest for several minutes before slicing and serving.

# Notes:

01 - This casserole can be made ahead and refrigerated before baking. Simply add 5-10 minutes to the baking time if cooking from cold.
