Best Cherry Donuts (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Donut Dough

01 - 250 grams all-purpose flour
02 - 45 grams organic cane sugar
03 - ½ tablespoon vanilla sugar
04 - 150 ml oat milk
05 - 40 grams vegan butter
06 - ½ package active dry yeast (4.5 grams)
07 - ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
08 - ½ tablespoon Natural Black Cherry Artisan Flavor
09 - 1 liter oil for deep-frying

→ Garnish

10 - 160 grams cherry jam
11 - Cherries for garnish
12 - 240 grams dairy-free whipping cream
13 - 1 teaspoon lemon juice
14 - ⅛ teaspoon Natural Black Cherry Artisan Flavor (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature and combine flour, sugar, and yeast in a mixing bowl.
02 - Add oat milk, softened butter, vanilla extract, and black cherry flavor to the dry ingredients. Mix for 2 minutes on low speed, then knead for 8 minutes on medium-high speed until the dough is smooth.
03 - Shape the dough into a ball, place it in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm, non-drafty place for 1-2 hours.
04 - Once risen, divide the dough into 4-6 even pieces, shape them into balls, and flatten slightly. Place on a floured sheet, leaving space between them. Cover and let rise for another 30-45 minutes.
05 - Heat oil in a wide skillet or pot to 340-355°F (170-180°C).
06 - Gently transfer dough balls into the hot oil, fry until golden brown (about 2-3 minutes per side), and transfer to paper towels to drain excess oil.
07 - Follow package or recipe instructions to prepare whipping cream. Season with lemon juice and black cherry flavor if desired.
08 - Option 1: Cut donuts in half, spread with cherry jam, pipe whipped cream, drizzle with more jam, and garnish with a cherry. Option 2: Use a piping bag to fill donuts with jam, then top with whipped cream, extra cherry jam, and garnish with a cherry.

# Notes:

01 - Maintain oil temperature between 340°F and 355°F for optimal frying results.
02 - Donuts are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored ungarnished for up to 3 days.
