Buckeye Brownie Cookies (Print)

Fudgy chocolate cookies with peanut butter centers, inspired by classic Ohio buckeyes and topped with chocolate drizzle.

# Ingredients:

→ Cookie Base

01 - 1 box (19.5 ounce) fudge brownie mix
02 - 1/4 cup butter, melted
03 - 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
04 - 1 large egg

→ Peanut Butter Layer

05 - 1 cup powdered sugar
06 - 1 cup creamy peanut butter

→ Chocolate Topping

07 - 4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips

# Directions:

01 - In a large mixing bowl, combine the dry brownie mix with melted butter, softened cream cheese, and egg until well incorporated and the batter becomes thick.
02 - Scoop the brownie batter into uniform balls and arrange them on a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving space between each.
03 - Preheat oven to 350°F (or as specified on brownie mix packaging). Bake for 11-12 minutes until edges are set and bottoms are completely cooked.
04 - While cookies bake, thoroughly combine peanut butter and powdered sugar in a bowl. Shape the mixture into small balls sized to fit the center of each cookie.
05 - Allow cookies to cool slightly, then press a peanut butter ball into the center of each cookie, creating a slight indentation.
06 - Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave, stirring until smooth. Carefully spoon the melted chocolate over each peanut butter center, allowing it to drizzle slightly.

# Notes:

01 - For best results, allow cookies to cool completely before serving to let the chocolate set properly.
