Blue Butterfly Pea Tea Latte (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Tea Base

01 - 1 tbsp dried butterfly pea flowers (or 1 tea bag, or 5-6 fresh flowers)
02 - 1 cup hot water

→ Latte Components

03 - 1/2 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
04 - 1-2 tsp honey or sweetener (optional)
05 - Ice cubes
06 - 1 tsp lemon juice (optional, for color change)
07 - Extra butterfly pea flowers for garnish (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - Steep butterfly pea flowers or tea bag in hot water for 5-7 minutes. Strain and let cool to room temperature.
02 - If desired, stir in honey or sweetener while tea is still warm until dissolved.
03 - Froth the milk using a milk frother, by shaking in a sealed jar, or blending until foamy.
04 - Fill a glass with ice cubes, pour in the cooled tea, then slowly add the frothy milk for a layered effect.
05 - Optional: Add lemon juice to watch the blue tea transform to purple. Garnish with butterfly pea flowers if desired.

01 - Can use any type of milk - dairy or plant-based
02 - The drink changes from blue to purple when adding lemon juice
