Buttery Pecan Snowball Treats (Print)

Soft, buttery treats with pecans and powdered sugar, perfect for any occasion.

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
02 - 1 cup powdered sugar, plus more for dusting
03 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
04 - 1 cup all-purpose flour
05 - 1 teaspoon salt
06 - 1 cup finely chopped pecans

# Directions:

01 - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and 1/2 cup of powdered sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
03 - Add the vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix until well combined.
04 - In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour and salt to combine.
05 - Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, mixing on low speed until just incorporated.
06 - Fold in the finely chopped pecans using a wooden spoon or a spatula, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
07 - Scoop out small portions of dough, about 1 tablespoon each, and roll them into balls. Place the balls on the lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
08 - Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the bottoms are lightly golden but the tops remain pale.
09 - Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes. Then, transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
10 - Once the cookies are completely cool, dust them generously with additional powdered sugar.
