Buttery Sweet Saltine Toffee (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - Saltine crackers
02 - 1 cup butter
03 - 1 cup dark brown sugar
04 - 12 oz white candy melts
05 - Festive sprinkles or candies

# Instructions:

01 - Line a 9x13 inch pan with foil and arrange saltine crackers in a single layer. Ensure the crackers fit snugly together to form a solid foundation.
02 - Combine butter and brown sugar in a saucepan over medium heat. Melt the mixture and bring it to a rolling boil, maintaining the boil for exactly 3 minutes while stirring constantly until it thickens slightly.
03 - Pour the hot toffee mixture evenly over the crackers. Place in a preheated 400°F oven and bake for 7 minutes until the toffee becomes bubbly and deepens in color.
04 - Remove the pan from the oven and immediately sprinkle white candy melts over the hot surface. Let them sit for 2 minutes to melt, then spread the chocolate into an even layer.
05 - Add festive sprinkles or candies while the chocolate is still soft. Press lightly to ensure they adhere. Refrigerate the pan for about 30 minutes until the candy is fully set.
06 - Once chilled, remove the candy from the pan, peel away the foil, and break it into irregular pieces. Store or serve as desired.

# Notes:

01 - For best results, ensure the toffee mixture boils for the full three minutes to achieve proper caramelization and crunch.
02 - This treat can be made up to 5 days ahead if stored in an airtight container.
03 - The chocolate can be customized with milk or dark varieties to suit personal preference.
