Seasoned beef layered with a creamy cheese blend, all wrapped in a flaky pastry crust for a savory dinner centerpiece.

# Ingredients:

→ Meat

01 - 450g ground beef

→ Seasonings

02 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
03 - 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
04 - Salt and pepper to taste
05 - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

→ Dairy

06 - 100g cheddar cheese, shredded
07 - 120g cream cheese, softened
08 - 60g sour cream

→ Condiments

09 - 60ml ketchup
10 - 30ml mustard

→ Pastry

11 - 1 sheet pie crust or puff pastry

# Directions:

01 - Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F). Grease a 23cm (9-inch) round cake pan.
02 - Roll out pie crust or puff pastry and fit into the bottom of the greased pan, trimming any excess dough from the edges.
03 - In a mixing bowl, thoroughly combine ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until evenly distributed.
04 - Press the seasoned beef mixture firmly and evenly over the pastry base, creating a uniform layer.
05 - Bake for 15 minutes, then carefully remove from oven and drain any excess fat that has rendered from the beef.
06 - While the beef is baking, combine shredded cheddar, softened cream cheese, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, and mustard in a bowl, mixing until smooth and well incorporated.
07 - Spread the cheese mixture evenly over the partially cooked beef, covering it completely.
08 - Return to oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and the pastry edges have turned golden brown.
09 - Allow to rest for 5 minutes, then carefully invert onto a serving plate so the pastry is on top, creating an upside-down presentation.

# Notes:

01 - This savory cake can be served warm as a main dish with a side salad.
02 - For a more traditional presentation, you can skip inverting and serve directly from the pan.
