Cheesy Onion Rings Mozzarella (Print)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 large onion, sliced into thick rings
02 - 8 mozzarella cheese sticks
03 - 1 cup milk
04 - 1 egg, beaten
05 - 1 cup Panko bread crumbs
06 - 2 cups cooking oil
07 - Toothpicks for securing

08 - 1 teaspoon baking powder
09 - 1 cup all-purpose flour
10 - 1 teaspoon fine salt

# Directions:

01 - Pair two slices of onion rings—one larger and one smaller. Place the smaller onion inside the larger ring, leaving space in between. Slice mozzarella cheese to fit the gap and secure with a toothpick.
02 - Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl, mixing thoroughly.
03 - Heat oil in a deep cooking pot until it reaches approximately 175°C (350°F).
04 - Dredge the assembled onion rings in the dry mixture, ensuring even coating on all sides.
05 - Dip the coated rings into milk and beaten egg mixture, followed by a coating of Panko bread crumbs. Repeat the process for extra crispiness.
06 - Carefully lower the onion rings into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, approximately 3–4 minutes. Remove and drain on a wire rack.
