One Pot Sausage Pasta (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound Italian sausage.
02 - 1 medium onion, diced.
03 - 3 cloves garlic, minced.
04 - 1 pound penne pasta.
05 - 4 cups chicken broth.
06 - 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes.
07 - 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese.
08 - ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese.
09 - 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs.
10 - Salt and pepper to taste.
11 - 2 cups fresh spinach (optional).
12 - 1 cup cherry tomatoes (optional).

# Instructions:

01 - Slice sausage, dice onion, mince garlic, and measure out pasta and liquids.
02 - Heat large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown sausage until golden.
03 - Add onions and garlic to the skillet. Cook until soft and fragrant.
04 - Add pasta, chicken broth, and diced tomatoes to the pot.
05 - Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer until pasta is al dente and liquid is mostly absorbed.
06 - Stir in cheese until melted. Add salt and pepper to taste.

# Notes:

01 - Stir occasionally to prevent pasta from sticking.
02 - Add splash of milk if sauce becomes too thick.
