Cheesy Sloppy Joe Toast (Print)

Savory ground beef simmered with tangy sauce, piled high on crispy garlic toast and topped with melty cheddar cheese.

# Ingredients:

→ Main Components

01 - 450g ground beef
02 - 1 medium yellow onion, diced (about 120g)
03 - 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
04 - 1 tablespoon brown sugar
05 - 60ml ketchup
06 - 240ml tomato sauce
07 - 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
08 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
09 - 1 teaspoon onion powder

→ Bread and Cheese

10 - 115g shredded cheddar cheese
11 - 8 slices frozen garlic toast

# Directions:

01 - Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add diced onion and ground beef, cooking until onions are softened and beef is no longer pink. Drain excess grease after browning.
02 - Add ketchup, tomato sauce, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, onion powder, and garlic powder to the beef mixture. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes to allow flavors to meld together.
03 - Arrange frozen garlic toast slices on a baking sheet. Spoon the beef mixture evenly over each slice, spreading to the edges. Top each with a generous portion of shredded cheddar cheese.
04 - Bake in a preheated 200°C oven for 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and toast is heated through. Serve immediately while cheese is still melted and gooey.

# Notes:

01 - For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the meat mixture.
