# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
02 - 3 cups confectioners sugar
03 - 1/2 cup unsweetened natural cocoa powder
04 - 3 to 4 tablespoons heavy whipping cream, plus more to thin
05 - 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
06 - 1/4 teaspoon salt

# Directions:

01 - Using a handheld mixer or stand mixer fitted with a whisk attachment, beat the butter on high speed for about 3 minutes or until creamy and lightened in color. Scrape down the bowl as needed to ensure consistent texture.
02 - Add confectioners sugar, cocoa powder, 3 tablespoons heavy cream, vanilla extract, and salt. Start beating on low speed until the sugar is incorporated.
03 - Increase to medium-high speed and beat for 3 more minutes, scraping down the bowl as needed to ensure all ingredients are well blended. Add an additional tablespoon of heavy cream if a thinner consistency is desired.
