Butter Cookie Recipe (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 2/3 cups cake flour.
02 - 1/2 cup white sugar.
03 - Pinch of salt.
04 - 10 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened.
05 - 1 large egg.
06 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract.
07 - 4 oz bittersweet chocolate.
08 - 1/2 cup heavy cream.
09 - Christmas sprinkles.
10 - Cookie icing (optional).

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 375°F and prepare baking sheets with parchment.
02 - Cream butter, sugar, and salt until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
03 - Beat in egg and vanilla until incorporated.
04 - Gradually add sifted cake flour in three parts, mixing gently.
05 - Transfer dough to piping bag with large star tip.
06 - Pipe 2-inch cookies in rosettes or desired shapes.
07 - Bake 10 minutes until edges are golden brown.
08 - Cool completely before decorating.
09 - Make ganache by melting chocolate with cream in short bursts.
10 - Dip cooled cookies in ganache and add sprinkles before setting.
