Cinnamon Raisin Biscuits (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 3 cups all-purpose flour.
02 - ½ cup granulated sugar.
03 - 2 teaspoons baking powder.
04 - 1 teaspoon baking soda.
05 - 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon.
06 - ¼ teaspoon salt.
07 - ½ cup vegetable shortening.
08 - ⅔ cup raisins.
09 - 1 cup buttermilk, plus more if needed.
10 - 2 cups powdered sugar.
11 - 4 tablespoons milk.
12 - 2 teaspoons vegetable oil (optional).
13 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional).

# Instructions:

01 - Heat oven to 400°F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt in large bowl.
03 - Cut in shortening with pastry blender until mixture is crumbly.
04 - Stir in raisins and buttermilk until just combined. Add more buttermilk if too dry.
05 - Roll dough ¾-inch thick on floured surface. Cut with 3-inch cutter, don't twist.
06 - Cook 10-15 minutes for large biscuits or 6-8 minutes for mini ones.
07 - Mix glaze ingredients and drizzle over hot biscuits or dip tops.

# Notes:

01 - Soak raisins in hot water first.
02 - Use cold ingredients for best texture.
03 - Don't overmix the dough.
