Grind coffee beans on coarsest setting to cornmeal texture.

Place grounds in container and add water.

Stir gently to saturate all grounds.

Cover and steep 12 hours at room temp or refrigerated.

Line strainer with cheesecloth.

Strain coffee through lined strainer.

Transfer to storage container.

Dilute to taste with water or milk when serving.

Serve over ice or warm briefly to serve hot.
