Creamy Ground Beef Pasta (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound ground beef.
02 - ¾ cup heavy cream.
03 - 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained.
04 - 8 ounces uncooked pasta.
05 - 1 tablespoon olive oil.
06 - ½ sweet yellow onion, chopped.
07 - 1½ teaspoons minced garlic.
08 - 2 tablespoons tomato paste.
09 - ½ teaspoon Dijon mustard.
10 - ¼ teaspoon Italian seasoning.
11 - Salt to taste.
12 - Black pepper to taste.
13 - Freshly grated parmesan cheese (optional).

# Instructions:

01 - Boil salted water and cook pasta until al dente according to package instructions.
02 - Heat olive oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook onion for 4-5 minutes.
03 - Add ground beef and garlic, cook 8 minutes until browned. Break up meat while cooking and drain excess fat.
04 - Add tomatoes, tomato paste, Dijon mustard, and Italian seasoning. Simmer 4-5 minutes.
05 - Stir in cream and cook 3-5 minutes until heated and slightly thickened.
06 - Season with salt and pepper, combine with pasta. Top with parmesan if desired.
