Creamy Crab and Shrimp Bisque (Print)

A creamy seafood bisque featuring crab, shrimp, and Mediterranean-inspired flavors.

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
02 - 1 onion, finely chopped
03 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
04 - 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
05 - 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
06 - 1/2 cup dry white wine
07 - 4 cups vegetable broth
08 - 1 can (14.5 ounces) crushed tomatoes
09 - 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
10 - 1 pound lump crab meat
11 - 1/2 cup heavy cream
12 - Fresh parsley, for garnish

# Directions:

01 - Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, cook until softened.
02 - Stir in oregano and red pepper flakes.
03 - Pour in white wine, scraping the bottom of the pot to release any browned bits.
04 - Add vegetable broth and crushed tomatoes. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
05 - Stir in shrimp and crab meat. Simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until seafood is cooked through.
06 - Stir in heavy cream and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until heated through.
07 - Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot with crusty bread.
