Creamy Seafood Mac Cheese (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Pasta & Seafood

01 - 8 oz elbow macaroni
02 - 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined (or mix of crab and lobster)

→ Sauce Base

03 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
04 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
05 - 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
06 - 2 cups whole milk
07 - 1 cup heavy cream

→ Seasonings

08 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
09 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
10 - ½ teaspoon mustard powder
11 - salt and pepper to taste

→ Cheese

12 - 1½ cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
13 - 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
14 - ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

→ Topping

15 - ½ cup breadcrumbs (optional)
16 - chopped fresh parsley for garnish

# Instructions:

01 - Boil macaroni in salted water according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
02 - Heat olive oil in large skillet over medium heat. Cook shrimp 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
03 - Melt butter, whisk in flour until golden. Gradually add milk and cream, whisking until thickened. Add seasonings and cheeses, stir until smooth.
04 - Add cooked pasta and seafood to cheese sauce, stir to combine evenly.
05 - Transfer to greased 9x9 baking dish, top with breadcrumbs. Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes until golden. Garnish with parsley and serve.
