Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Cook sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned and crumbled. Drain excess grease.

Mix cream cheese with the cooked sausage. Stir until melted and well combined. Add garlic powder, pepper, or other mix-ins if using.

Roll out 1 can of crescent dough and press it into the bottom of the baking dish, sealing seams.

Spread sausage mixture evenly over the dough layer.

Top with second can of crescent dough, carefully laying it over the filling and sealing seams.

Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown on top.

Cool slightly, then cut into squares and serve warm.
