Crispy Air Fryer Apple Fries (Print)

Crispy, spiced apple fries made with a light air-fried coating for a perfect sweet treat.

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 Granny Smith apples
02 - ½ cup all-purpose flour
03 - ½ cup powdered sugar
04 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
05 - ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
06 - ½ teaspoon ground cloves
07 - Spray cooking oil

# Directions:

01 - In a large resealable bag, combine the flour, powdered sugar, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Seal and shake well until evenly mixed.
02 - Peel the apples and slice them into ½-inch wedges, discarding the core. Cut the wedges into fry-like strips.
03 - Place the apple strips into the bag of dry mixture. Seal the bag and shake until all pieces are well coated.
04 - Arrange the coated apple slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure not to overcrowd them. Lightly spritz with cooking oil.
05 - Set the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and cook for 5 minutes. Open the air fryer, flip the apple fries, and spritz with more oil if needed. Continue cooking for another 5 minutes or until the fries are golden brown and crisp.
06 - Carefully remove the apple fries and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy!

# Notes:

01 - For a richer flavor, try using apple pie spice instead of the individual spices.
02 - To keep the apple fries warm and crispy, place them in a preheated oven at a low temperature while finishing other batches.
