Crispy Deep Fried Marshmallows (Print)

Golden-brown marshmallows encased in crispy pancake batter, topped with whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and colorful sprinkles.

# Ingredients:

01 - 20 jumbo marshmallows
02 - 240g (1 cup) pancake mix
03 - 1 large egg
04 - 180ml (¾ cup) milk
05 - 480-720ml (2-3 cups) vegetable oil for deep frying

08 - Sprinkles, for serving

# Directions:

01 - Heat approximately 7-8cm (3 inches) of vegetable oil in a deep pot to 175°C (350°F).
02 - In a medium bowl, whisk together the pancake mix, egg, and milk until smooth. The batter should be thick enough to coat the marshmallows without excessive dripping.
03 - Dip each marshmallow into the batter, ensuring it is evenly coated all around. Gently shake off any excess batter.
04 - Carefully lower the coated marshmallows into the hot oil. Fry for 30-60 seconds, turning occasionally, until golden brown and crispy on all sides.
05 - Remove the fried marshmallows with a slotted spoon and transfer to paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve immediately, garnished with whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and sprinkles if desired.

# Notes:

01 - The marshmallows will expand slightly during frying, so be careful not to overcrowd the pot.
02 - Serve immediately after frying for the best contrast between the crispy exterior and gooey interior.
