Easter Dirt Cake Casserole (Print)

Layers of Oreos, pudding, and candy in a festive Easter-themed dessert casserole.

# Ingredients:

→ Base Layer and Garnish

01 - 1 package (14.3 oz) Oreos, crushed
02 - 1 bag of candy-coated chocolate eggs
03 - Optional: gummy worms, for decoration

→ Cream Cheese Layer

04 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
05 - 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
06 - 1 cup powdered sugar

→ Pudding Layer

07 - 2 packages (3.9 oz each) instant chocolate pudding mix
08 - 3 1/2 cups cold milk
09 - 1 container (12 oz) whipped topping, thawed

# Directions:

01 - In a large bowl, mix the crushed Oreos and set aside.
02 - In another bowl, beat together the butter, cream cheese, and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
03 - In a separate bowl, whisk together the pudding mix and milk until well blended and thickened. Let it sit for 5 minutes to thicken further.
04 - Fold the whipped topping into the pudding mixture until well combined.
05 - In a 9x13 inch casserole dish, layer half of the crushed Oreos to form the base. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the Oreo layer evenly. Carefully spread the pudding mixture over the cream cheese layer. Top with the remaining crushed Oreos, covering the pudding layer completely.
06 - Decorate the top with candy-coated chocolate eggs and optional gummy worms to mimic a festive Easter garden scene. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight, before serving to allow the layers to set.
