# Ingredients:

01 - 4 large eggs
02 - ½ cup granulated sugar
03 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
04 - ½ cup all-purpose flour
05 - ¼ cup cocoa powder
06 - 1 teaspoon baking powder
07 - ¼ teaspoon salt

→ For the Filling

08 - 1 cup heavy cream
09 - 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
10 - ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
11 - ½ cup melted chocolate (optional)

→ For the Frosting

12 - 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
13 - 2 cups powdered sugar
14 - ½ cup cocoa powder
15 - 2 tablespoons heavy cream
16 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

# Directions:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a jelly roll pan with parchment paper. Whisk eggs and sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla. Sift in flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gently fold until combined. Spread the batter evenly in the pan and bake for 10-12 minutes. Remove from oven and immediately roll the warm cake with a kitchen towel. Let cool.
02 - Whip heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form. Gently fold in melted chocolate if using. Unroll the cake, spread filling evenly, and roll it back tightly.
03 - Beat butter until creamy. Add powdered sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla, and heavy cream. Beat until smooth.
04 - Frost the rolled cake creating a bark-like texture with a spatula.
