Garlic Butter Sausage Pasta (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Garlic Butter Sausage

01 - 1 pound smoked or Italian sausage, sliced
02 - 3 tablespoons butter
03 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
04 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
05 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

→ Creamy Pasta

06 - 12 ounces pasta (fettuccine or penne)
07 - 2 tablespoons butter
08 - 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
09 - 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
10 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder

→ Seasonings & Garnish

11 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
12 - Salt to taste
13 - Fresh parsley, chopped

# Instructions:

01 - Brown sliced sausage in olive oil over medium heat, 4-5 minutes per side. Remove from pan.
02 - Melt butter in same skillet, add garlic and cook 1-2 minutes. Return sausage, add seasonings.
03 - Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
04 - Melt butter, add cream and garlic powder. Whisk in Parmesan until smooth. Season to taste.
05 - Toss pasta with sauce, top with sausage. Garnish with Parmesan and parsley.

# Notes:

01 - Use fresh Parmesan for best results
02 - Add pasta water to adjust sauce consistency
03 - Can add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms
