01 - 1 cup tomato-based marinara sauce
02 - 1 tsp dried oregano
03 - 1 cup regular flour
04 - 1 cup breadcrumbs
05 - Salt and pepper to taste
06 - 1/2 cup olive oil
07 - 4 chicken breast fillets
08 - 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
09 - 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
10 - 2 eggs, beaten
11 - 1 tsp dried basil leaves
12 - 1/2 tsp garlic powder

# Directions:

01 - Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
02 - Pound chicken breasts with a meat mallet until uniform thickness for even cooking.
03 - Arrange three shallow dishes: flour in the first, beaten eggs in the second, and a mixture of breadcrumbs, Parmesan, basil, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in the third.
04 - Dredge each chicken piece in flour, shaking off excess, then dip in egg, and finally coat thoroughly with the breadcrumb mixture.
05 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear breaded chicken until golden brown, approximately 2-3 minutes per side.
06 - Transfer chicken to a baking dish. Top each piece with marinara sauce and sprinkle generously with shredded mozzarella.
07 - Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
08 - Plate the chicken and serve with additional marinara sauce if desired.
