# Ingredients:

→ For the Muffins

01 - 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
02 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
03 - 2 teaspoons baking powder
04 - 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
05 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
06 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
07 - 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
08 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
09 - 1 large egg
10 - 1/2 cup milk
11 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

→ For the Cinnamon Sugar Coating

12 - 1/4 cup granulated sugar
13 - 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
14 - 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted (for brushing)

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a muffin tin or line it with muffin liners.
02 - In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg (if using).
03 - In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, egg, milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.
04 - Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently mix until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.
05 - Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling each about 2/3 full.
06 - Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.
07 - While the muffins are baking, mix the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon in a small bowl.
08 - Once the muffins are done baking, remove them from the oven and let them cool for about 5 minutes in the pan. While they are still warm, brush each muffin with melted butter and then roll them in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully coated.
09 - Allow the muffins to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy them warm or at room temperature.
