Greek Style Chicken Gyros (Print)

Flavorful Greek chicken gyros with tangy tzatziki and fresh veggies.

# Ingredients:

→ For the Chicken

01 - 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
02 - 2 tbsp olive oil
03 - 1 tbsp lemon juice
04 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
05 - 1 tsp dried oregano
06 - Salt and pepper to taste

→ For the Tzatziki

07 - 1 cup Greek yogurt
08 - 1/2 cucumber, grated and drained
09 - 1 tbsp lemon juice
10 - 1 clove garlic, minced
11 - 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
12 - Salt and pepper to taste

→ For the Gyros

13 - 4 pita or flatbreads
14 - Sliced tomatoes, for garnish
15 - Sliced onions, for garnish
16 - Sliced lettuce, for garnish

# Directions:

01 - Combine olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Add chicken breasts and marinate for 30 minutes.
02 - Mix Greek yogurt, grated and drained cucumber, lemon juice, garlic, fresh dill, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Chill until ready to serve.
03 - Grill or cook chicken in a skillet over medium heat for 6-7 minutes per side until fully cooked. Slice thinly.
04 - Warm the pita or flatbreads. Fill each with sliced chicken, fresh veggies (tomatoes, onions, and lettuce), and tzatziki sauce.
05 - Serve immediately and enjoy your freshly prepared gyros.
