Ground Beef Totchos Dish (Print)

Comforting tater tots, beef, cheese, and taco toppings.

# Ingredients:

01 - 32 ounces tater tots
02 - 1 teaspoon olive oil
03 - 1 pound ground beef
04 - 1 ounce taco seasoning
05 - 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
06 - Salsa, for serving
07 - Shredded lettuce, for serving
08 - Pickled jalapenos, for serving

# Directions:

01 - Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Arrange tater tots in a single layer on the sheet and bake for 28–30 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
03 - While the tots are baking, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up, until no pink remains.
04 - Stir in taco seasoning and ¼ cup of water. Simmer until the liquid is absorbed.
05 - Once tater tots are baked, remove from oven and top with the cooked ground beef and shredded cheddar cheese.
06 - Return baking sheet to oven for 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
07 - Remove from oven and add your desired toppings such as salsa, shredded lettuce, and pickled jalapenos. Serve immediately.

# Notes:

01 - Serve hot for maximum crispiness. Perfect with a side of guacamole or sour cream.
02 - Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 375°F for 10 minutes to keep tots crispy.
03 - You can freeze cooked tater tots separately before adding toppings. Reheat in the oven for 15 minutes at 400°F.
