Hamburger Green Bean Casserole (Print)

Savory ground beef with green beans in creamy mushroom sauce, topped with melted cheddar and crispy fried onions.

01 - 450 g ground beef
02 - 425 g canned green beans, drained
03 - 298 g condensed cream of mushroom soup
04 - 120 ml whole milk
05 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
06 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
07 - Salt to taste
08 - Black pepper to taste

09 - 115 g shredded cheddar cheese
10 - 85 g French fried onions

# Directions:

01 - Preheat oven to 175°C.
02 - In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until fully browned, breaking it apart while cooking. Drain excess fat.
03 - In a large mixing bowl, combine browned beef, green beans, cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until well incorporated.
04 - Lightly grease a 23×33 cm baking dish. Transfer the beef mixture to the dish, spreading it evenly, and sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
05 - Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until cheese is melted and filling is heated through.
06 - Remove from oven, distribute French fried onions evenly over the top, and return to oven for 5-10 minutes until onions are golden and crisp.
07 - Allow casserole to rest for several minutes before serving to set properly.

# Notes:

01 - This casserole can be prepared up to 24 hours in advance and refrigerated before baking. Add an extra 10-15 minutes to the baking time if cooking from chilled.
