Heart Sugar Cookies Delight (Print)

Soft and delightful sugar cookies shaped like hearts, ideal for any celebrations.

# Ingredients:

→ Cookie Dough

01 - 2½ cups all-purpose flour
02 - ½ teaspoon baking powder
03 - ¼ teaspoon salt
04 - 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
05 - 1 cup granulated sugar
06 - 1 large egg
07 - 1½ teaspoons vanilla extract

→ Optional Decorations

08 - Royal icing or glaze
09 - Pink, red, or white sanding sugar
10 - Sprinkles or edible pearls
11 - Gel food coloring

# Directions:

01 - Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Set aside.
02 - Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in egg and vanilla until smooth.
03 - Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture. Mix just until dough forms. Divide dough into two discs.
04 - Wrap dough in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
05 - Roll dough on a lightly floured surface. Cut using heart-shaped cookie cutters.
06 - Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 8–10 minutes. Edges should be lightly golden.
07 - Cool completely before decorating.
