# Ingredients:

→ Pastry

01 - 1 package puff pastry (2 sheets)

→ Filling

02 - 1 cup fresh or canned cherry pie filling

→ Egg Wash

03 - 1 egg
04 - 1 tablespoon milk

→ Glaze

05 - 1 cup powdered sugar
06 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
07 - 2-3 tablespoons milk

# Directions:

01 - Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Thaw puff pastry if not done already.
02 - Roll out each sheet of puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to remove creases.
03 - Cut each puff pastry sheet into 4 equal squares to create 8 squares in total.
04 - Place 1-2 tablespoons of cherry pie filling in the center of each square without overfilling.
05 - Fold each square diagonally to form a triangle and press edges firmly. Use a fork to crimp and seal the edges.
06 - Whisk together 1 egg and 1 tablespoon of milk. Brush this mixture over the tops of the turnovers.
07 - Place turnovers onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
08 - Whisk together powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and 2-3 tablespoons of milk. Adjust milk quantity for desired consistency.
09 - Allow turnovers to cool for 10 minutes. Drizzle glaze over the top and serve while warm.

# Notes:

01 - Ensure the puff pastry remains cool to prevent it from becoming too sticky when working with it.
