Homemade Cincinnati Chili Dogs (Print)

Juicy hot dogs with Cincinnati chili, cheddar, and onions in toasted buns for instant comfort.

# Ingredients:

01 - 6 hot dogs
02 - 6 hot dog buns
03 - 1½ cups Cincinnati-style chili
04 - ¾ cup shredded cheddar cheese
05 - ⅓ cup chopped onions
06 - Mustard (optional)

# Directions:

01 - Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
02 - Grill the hot dogs for 5-7 minutes or until they are browned and heated through.
03 - While the hot dogs are grilling, heat the Cincinnati chili in a small pot or microwave.
04 - Toast the hot dog buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes or until lightly browned.
05 - Place a grilled hot dog in each bun and top with a generous amount of Cincinnati chili. Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese and chopped onions. Add mustard, if desired.
06 - For melted cheese, place the assembled chili dogs under the broiler for 2-3 minutes.
