Easy Crème Fraîche (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pint (16 ounces) heavy cream.
02 - 2 tablespoons cultured buttermilk or yogurt.

# Instructions:

01 - Pour heavy cream into a clean non-reactive container.
02 - Add buttermilk or yogurt to the cream.
03 - Stir mixture gently to combine.
04 - Cover container loosely.
05 - Let rest at room temperature for about 12 hours.
06 - Check thickness - should be like sour cream.
07 - Transfer to refrigerator once desired thickness is reached.

# Notes:

01 - Must use cultured dairy.
02 - Use non-reactive container.
03 - Keeps 2 weeks refrigerated.
04 - Thickens as it cultures.
