Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.

In a small bowl, combine honey, pineapple juice, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Whisk until thoroughly blended.

Place salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet and season with salt and pepper.

Generously brush the honey pineapple glaze over the salmon fillets, reserving some for basting during cooking.

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, basting with remaining glaze halfway through. Salmon is done when it flakes easily with a fork.

Remove salmon from oven and garnish with sliced pineapple and chopped fresh cilantro if desired. Serve immediately.
