Korean Pork Chops (Print)

Tender pork chops with a sweet-spicy Korean glaze featuring soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger and chili sauce.

# Ingredients:

01 - 4 thin boneless pork chops

→ Marinade

02 - 120ml soy sauce
03 - 4 tablespoons honey
04 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
05 - 4 teaspoons freshly grated ginger
06 - 2 teaspoons sesame oil
07 - 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
08 - 2 tablespoons olive oil

# Directions:

01 - In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, and sweet chili sauce until well combined.
02 - Pour half of the marinade over the pork chops in a shallow dish. Allow to marinate for 10 minutes. Reserve the remaining marinade for cooking.
03 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
04 - Add pork chops to the skillet, discarding the used marinade. Cook until browned on one side, approximately 6 minutes.
05 - Turn the chops over and add the reserved fresh marinade to the pan. Cook for an additional 6 minutes, or until the pork reaches an internal temperature of 71°C (160°F).
06 - Remove from heat and allow to rest for 3-5 minutes before serving to allow juices to redistribute.

# Notes:

01 - For an authentic Korean experience, serve with various Banchan (side dishes) such as kimchi and other vegetable preparations.
02 - Garnish with thinly sliced green onions or toasted sesame seeds for enhanced presentation and flavor.
03 - This marinade works excellently with other proteins including chicken, beef, or salmon.
04 - For additional heat, incorporate red pepper flakes into the marinade.
05 - Alternative cooking methods include grilling or air frying for different texture profiles.
