Mediterranean Steak Bowl (Print)

Juicy grilled sirloin with fresh vegetables and tzatziki sauce, inspired by classic Greek flavors and ready in minutes.

# Ingredients:

→ Steak and Marinade

01 - 450g sirloin steak, about 2.5cm thick
02 - 45ml olive oil
03 - 2 garlic cloves, minced
04 - 15ml fresh lemon juice
05 - 1 teaspoon dried oregano
06 - 1 teaspoon dried thyme
07 - ½ teaspoon salt
08 - ¼ teaspoon black pepper

→ Bowl Base

09 - 480ml cooked grains (brown rice, quinoa, or cauliflower rice)
10 - 240ml roasted chickpeas (optional)

→ Toppings

11 - 240ml cherry tomatoes, halved
12 - 1 cucumber, diced
13 - ½ red onion, thinly sliced
14 - 120ml kalamata olives, pitted
15 - 80ml crumbled feta cheese (optional)
16 - 60ml fresh herbs (parsley or dill), chopped

→ Tzatziki

17 - 240ml plain Greek yogurt (or coconut yogurt for dairy-free)
18 - ½ cucumber, grated and squeezed dry
19 - 15ml fresh lemon juice
20 - 1 garlic clove, minced
21 - 15ml fresh dill, chopped
22 - Salt and pepper to taste

→ Lemon Vinaigrette

23 - 45ml olive oil
24 - 30ml fresh lemon juice
25 - 5ml honey (omit for dietary restrictions)
26 - 1 garlic clove, minced
27 - ½ teaspoon dried oregano
28 - Salt and pepper to taste

# Directions:

01 - Combine olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Coat steak thoroughly with marinade and refrigerate for 30 minutes to 4 hours for optimal flavor development.
02 - Mix Greek yogurt, grated cucumber (squeezed to remove excess moisture), lemon juice, minced garlic, chopped dill, salt and pepper in a bowl. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
03 - Whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, honey, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt and pepper until thoroughly combined and slightly emulsified.
04 - Heat a cast iron skillet or grill pan over high heat. Sear steak for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, adjusting time according to thickness and desired doneness. Rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing thinly against the grain.
05 - Start with a base of cooked grains, arrange sliced steak and toppings in sections. Drizzle with tzatziki and lemon vinaigrette just before serving.

01 - For meal prep, store components separately and assemble just before eating. Steak can be enjoyed warm or cold in this bowl.
