Chill the glass. Run a lemon wedge around the edge and dip it in sugar if desired.

Fill a shaker with ice. Add vodka, blue curaçao, triple sec or orange juice, and lemon juice.

Shake well until cold. Strain the mixture into a champagne flute or coupe.

Top the strained mixture slowly with champagne or prosecco.

Garnish with a maraschino cherry or lemon twist before serving.
