Cook linguine according to package directions, drain and set aside.

Brown ground beef in large skillet over medium heat, drain excess fat.

Add garlic, cook 1 minute. Stir in brown sugar, broth, soy sauce, hoisin, ginger, pepper and optional pepper flakes.

Mix cornstarch and water, add to skillet. Stir 2-3 minutes until thickened.

Add cooked noodles to skillet, toss to coat in sauce.

Top with sliced green onions and serve hot.
