Delicious Nun's Puffs Delight (Print)

Light, fluffy, buttery pastry perfect with honey or powdered sugar.

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 stick unsalted butter (113g or ½ cup)
02 - 1 cup whole milk (240ml)
03 - ¾ cup all-purpose flour (90g)
04 - 3 large eggs
05 - 1 tbsp sugar (optional, for a lightly sweet touch)
06 - Pinch of salt
07 - Honey or powdered sugar for serving

# Directions:

01 - Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Generously grease a muffin tin as the puffs will expand significantly.
02 - In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter in the milk and bring just to a boil. Remove from heat.
03 - Quickly stir in the flour and a pinch of salt until the mixture forms a smooth dough that pulls away from the sides of the pan.
04 - Let the mixture cool for 5 minutes. Then beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition until smooth and glossy. Use a mixer if available.
05 - Stir in 1 tbsp sugar if you prefer a lightly sweetened base.
06 - Spoon batter evenly into the muffin cups, filling each about halfway as they will rise significantly. Bake for 30–35 minutes or until puffed and deeply golden brown.
07 - Serve warm, optionally topping with honey, powdered sugar, or jam.

# Notes:

01 - Ensure the mixture cools slightly before adding eggs to prevent cooking them prematurely.
02 - The batter's consistency is similar to pâte à choux dough, allowing for a light, airy finished product.
