→ Frosting Ingredients

12 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
13 - 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
14 - 3 cups powdered sugar
15 - 1/4 cup milk
16 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
02 - In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
03 - In a large bowl, cream together the butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
04 - Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
05 - Gradually add the flour mixture to the creamed mixture, alternating with the buttermilk, beginning and ending with the flour mixture. Mix until just combined.
06 - Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
07 - Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
08 - For the frosting, cream together the butter and peanut butter until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract, beating until the frosting is light and fluffy.
09 - Spread the frosting evenly over the cooled cake. Slice and serve.

# Notes:

01 - Buttermilk can be substituted with a mixture of milk and vinegar or lemon juice.
02 - For best results, frost the cake only after it has cooled completely to prevent the frosting from melting.
