2 packages (4 ounces each) Instant Oreo pudding mix

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Spray a 9x13-inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.

Prepare the chocolate cake mix using eggs, oil, and water as per package instructions. Transfer the batter to the prepared pan and bake according to the times listed on the cake mix box.

Once the cake is baked, allow it to cool for about 10 minutes. Using the handle of a wooden spoon, poke holes all over the cake at approximately 1-inch intervals.

In a medium bowl, whisk together 3 cups of milk and the Instant Oreo pudding mix until most lumps are removed. The pudding may still contain small Oreo pieces, which is normal.

Pour the pudding mixture evenly over the cake, ensuring it fills the holes. Use a spoon to spread the pudding and gently press it into the holes.

Place the cake in the refrigerator and allow it to cool completely, about 1 hour.

Once the cake has cooled, spread the thawed whipped topping evenly over the pudding layer.
