Overnight Funfetti Cinnamon Rolls (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ For the Cinnamon Filling

01 - ½ cup granulated sugar
02 - 1 tablespoon cinnamon

→ For the Dough

03 - 8 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened and divided
04 - 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
05 - ¾ teaspoon salt
06 - 1 large egg
07 - ½ cup milk
08 - 3½ teaspoons instant dry yeast
09 - 2¼ cups all-purpose flour
10 - ⅔ cup rainbow sprinkles, divided, plus more for topping

→ For the Glaze

11 - 1 cup confectioner's sugar
12 - 3 tablespoons milk
13 - ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

# Instructions:

01 - Mix sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl and set aside.
02 - Cream butter, sugar, and salt. Add egg, milk, yeast, and flour. Mix until smooth, then fold in sprinkles. Let rise in warm place for 1½ hours.
03 - Roll dough into 9x12-inch rectangle, spread with butter, sprinkle with cinnamon mixture and remaining sprinkles. Roll into cylinder and cut into 8 pieces.
04 - Place rolls in buttered cast iron skillet, cover and refrigerate overnight. Next morning, let rise in warm place for 90 minutes.
05 - Bake at 325°F for 32-34 minutes until golden. Cool 15 minutes, then top with glaze made from powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. Sprinkle with additional sprinkles.
