Perfect Roasted Sweet Potatoes (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 pounds sweet potatoes (Red Garnet or Jewel yams)
02 - 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil or avocado oil
03 - 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup (optional)
04 - ¾ teaspoon sea salt or kosher salt OR ½ teaspoon table salt
05 - ½ teaspoon chili powder
06 - ½ teaspoon garlic powder
07 - ½ teaspoon paprika
08 - ½ teaspoon cinnamon
09 - ¼ teaspoon pepper

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a large 15x21 baking sheet with parchment paper (or use two half sheets).
02 - Peel sweet potatoes and cut into ½-inch pieces. If potato is wobbly, cut thin sliver from bottom to stabilize. Cut into ½-inch rounds, then cut rounds into cubes.
03 - Add cubes to baking sheet and toss evenly with olive oil, maple syrup, and spices.
04 - Spread potatoes in single layer so they aren't touching each other.
05 - Roast at 425°F for 25-35 minutes, tossing the sweet potatoes at 15 minutes.
