Spread pesto on each bread slice. Layer mozzarella, tomatoes, and bacon on two slices, top with remaining bread, pesto side down.

Heat skillet over medium heat. Butter tops of sandwiches and place butter-side down. Cook 3-4 minutes until golden.

Butter uncooked sides, flip, and cook 2-3 minutes until toasted and cheese melts. Rest 1-2 minutes before cutting.
