Cheesesteak Meatloaf (Print)

Savory beef and pork blend loaded with provolone, mushrooms, and peppers - a Philadelphia-inspired comfort food masterpiece.

# Ingredients:

→ Meat

01 - 450g ground beef
02 - 225g ground pork

→ Vegetables

03 - 1 onion, finely chopped
04 - 1 green bell pepper, finely chopped
05 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
06 - 100g sliced mushrooms
07 - 60g sliced green onions
08 - 60g sliced roasted red peppers

→ Binding Agents

09 - 100g breadcrumbs
10 - 120ml milk
11 - 2 large eggs
12 - 60ml Worcestershire sauce
13 - Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

→ Cheese

14 - 100g shredded provolone cheese

# Directions:

01 - Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F).
02 - In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, onion, green bell pepper, garlic, breadcrumbs, milk, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until ingredients are well incorporated.
03 - Press half of the meat mixture into the bottom of a standard loaf pan. Layer half of the provolone cheese, mushrooms, green onions, and roasted red peppers over the meat base.
04 - Top with remaining meat mixture and press firmly to seal the edges, ensuring filling remains enclosed.
05 - Bake for 1 hour, or until internal temperature reaches 70°C (160°F).
06 - Remove from oven, sprinkle remaining provolone cheese over the top, and return to oven for an additional 5 minutes until cheese is melted and slightly golden.
07 - Allow meatloaf to rest for 10 minutes before slicing to maintain structural integrity. Serve with your choice of sides.
