Prosciutto Asparagus Hollandaise Dip (Print)

Crispy prosciutto wraps tender asparagus with hollandaise sauce.

# Ingredients:

→ For the Asparagus

01 - 1 pound asparagus spears, trimmed
02 - 4 slices prosciutto
03 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
04 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
05 - 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

→ For the Hollandaise Sauce

06 - 4 egg yolks
07 - 1 cup melted butter
08 - 1 tablespoon lemon juice
09 - 1 teaspoon water
10 - Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)
11 - Salt and pepper to taste

# Directions:

01 - Wrap each asparagus spear with a slice of prosciutto.
02 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add prosciutto-wrapped asparagus and cook for 3-5 minutes per side, or until the prosciutto is crispy and the asparagus is tender. Season with salt and pepper.
03 - In a heatproof bowl set over a saucepan of simmering water, whisk together egg yolks, lemon juice, and water until thick and frothy.
04 - Gradually drizzle in melted butter, whisking constantly, until the sauce thickens and emulsifies. Season with cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and pepper.
05 - Serve the prosciutto-wrapped asparagus immediately with Hollandaise Sauce.

# Notes:

01 - You can use any type of ham or bacon for this recipe.
02 - For a spicier sauce, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the Hollandaise Sauce.
