Combine chopped chocolate and heated heavy cream. Stir until smooth. Chill until firm, at least 2 hours.

Preheat oven to 350°F. Line muffin tins with cupcake liners.

Mix cake batter according to box directions. Fill liners 1/2 full.

Scoop 1 tablespoon balls of chilled ganache and place in center of each cupcake.

Bake 20-23 minutes until toothpick in side comes out clean. Cool briefly in pans.

Remove liners, turn upside down, dust with powdered sugar. Best served warm.
