Rotel Sausage Cream Cheese Crescents (Print Version)

01 - 1 lb breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled
02 - 8 oz cream cheese, softened
03 - 10 oz can Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained very well
04 - 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent rolls

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 375°F.
02 - In a large bowl, mix together cooked sausage, cream cheese, and drained Rotel tomatoes and green chilies.
03 - Separate rolls into triangles. Cut each triangle in half lengthwise to create two smaller triangles.
04 - Using a small cookie scoop, place sausage filling onto each crescent roll triangle and roll up.
05 - Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.

# Notes:

01 - Ensure Rotel tomatoes are drained thoroughly to prevent excess moisture in the filling.
02 - The filling can be prepared up to 3 days ahead and stored in the refrigerator.
03 - Use a pizza cutter to more easily cut the crescent rolls into smaller triangles.
04 - These crescent bites are delicious both hot out of the oven and at room temperature.
05 - Substitute turkey sausage, low-fat cream cheese, or reduced-fat crescent rolls if desired.
