# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
02 - 1 cup granulated sugar
03 - 1 cup packed brown sugar
04 - 1 large egg
05 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
06 - 1 cup all-purpose flour
07 - 1 teaspoon baking soda
08 - 1 teaspoon salt
09 - 1 cup semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips

10 - 1 chocolate kisses, unwrapped

# Directions:

01 - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
02 - In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until the mixture is creamy and smooth. This should take about 2-3 minutes on medium speed.
03 - Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract until evenly combined.
04 - In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
05 - Gently fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula or wooden spoon, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
06 - Using a cookie scoop or a tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
07 - Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. The center may look slightly underbaked but will firm up as they cool.
08 - Remove the cookies from the oven and immediately press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie. Allow them to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
