Sicilian Pork Chops (Print)

Juicy pork chops infused with lemon, garlic and fresh Mediterranean herbs, grilled to perfection for authentic Sicilian flavor.

# Ingredients:

→ Meat

01 - 4 bone-in pork chops, about 2.5 cm thick

→ Marinade

02 - 4 cloves garlic, minced
03 - 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
04 - 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
05 - 1 tablespoon fresh oregano, chopped
06 - Zest of 1 lemon
07 - Juice of 1 lemon
08 - 60 ml olive oil
09 - 1 teaspoon salt
10 - ½ teaspoon black pepper

→ Garnish

11 - Lemon slices and fresh herbs (optional)

# Directions:

01 - In a medium bowl, combine minced garlic, chopped parsley, rosemary, oregano, lemon zest, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until well incorporated.
02 - Place pork chops in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the herb marinade over the chops, ensuring they are completely coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, ideally 3-4 hours for maximum flavor.
03 - Preheat grill or cast iron skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
04 - Remove pork chops from marinade, allowing excess to drip off. Grill for 4-5 minutes per side until the internal temperature reaches 63°C (145°F).
05 - Transfer cooked pork chops to a plate and let rest for 5 minutes to allow juices to redistribute. Garnish with lemon slices and additional fresh herbs if desired before serving.

# Notes:

01 - For best results, bring pork chops to room temperature for 15 minutes before cooking.
02 - The marinade can be prepared up to 24 hours in advance and stored in the refrigerator.
