In a bowl, using a fork, stir together the brown sugar, self-rising flour, and softened butter until crumbly. Then stir in the oats and pecans. Set aside.

In a medium bowl, whisk together self-rising flour, sugar, and milk just until blended. Whisk in melted butter. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.

Layer the banana slices evenly on top of the filling.

Crumble the streusel topping evenly over the banana layer.

Bake for 45-50 minutes, until golden brown and the cobbler no longer jiggles.

Allow to cool slightly and serve warm. Optional: Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and garnish with fresh banana slices.
